C.A.R. stands ready to assist REALTORS® who have been impacted by disaster through its Disaster Relief Fund. The Association established the fund in the wake of the 2003 California wildfires. Grants provided by the fund are used to help members of the REALTOR® family -- REALTORS®, their staff, and Association members and their staff -- who have incurred substantial losses due to wildfires and other disasters by distributing grants of up to $5,000. Assistance Center for Saddleridge Fire Victims
Located in Sylmar, this center is designed to be a one-stop source of disaster recovery information. Get help replacing records lost in the fire; filing insurance claims; cleaning, repairing and rebuilding property, and applying for disaster assistance. The center is located at the Sylmar Recreation Center, 13109 Borden Ave. It will be open from 9:30am to 7pm weekdays and 8am to 4pm Saturdays.
Assistance Center for Sandalwood Fire Victims
Located in Calimesa, this center includes help with social services, senior support, veteran services, housing placement, utilities, state taxes, postal services, Department of Motor Vehicles, California Department of Insurance, Riverside County Assessor-County Clerk/Recorder, and aid from organizations such as the Red Cross and Salvation Army. It is located at the Calimesa Senior Center, 908 Park Ave, and it will be open from 8am to 6pm. For more information, please call 909-795-2287.

Apply for FEMA Disaster Relief Funds
Apply for federal assistance by calling toll-free to (800) 621-FEMA (3362). Disaster victims may register by calling this number. You do not have to wait to go to a disaster assistance center. The number for speech and hearing impaired individuals is (800) 462-7585. Federal disaster assistance available for residents and businesses in the affected counties includes temporary housing assistance, disaster loans and other needs assistance grants.

A comprehensive case-management service for disaster-affected homeowners whose mortgage loans are backed by the company. The program provides homeowners broader personalized support to address safety and basic needs, property repairs, employment, and financial recovery—all of which affect a borrower's ability to meet their mortgage obligations.
